Your Dream

by FenderGrl   Dec 31, 2009

Your dream is a scene; I am ideal-- and you made me into this butterfly.
I've got a dozen colors on my wings,
And I've learned how to make you happy.

Your dream is a presentation that everyone admires,
a set of goals that were never fulfilled,
And my shoes are wasted and scraped in the heels.

Your dream is what keeps you braggin'
Your best accomplishment-- and you are content.
You got it under control-- it's simply perfect.

Your dream is that other road you could have taken,
the one that she wanted you to take,
but neither did she take the road for the sake of her own...

Your dream is what you speak,
What everyone sees as ideal; exemplary--
your salvation for lost hopes...

And I'm overshadowed by a fantasy world;
far beneath your knowledge and expectations...
The unspoken is for your felicity ,
And you say I'm living the grand dream--
it's nothing but Your own...
