Eight Letter Lie

by ashley   Jan 1, 2010

You say you love me.
Then you find another girl.
A better girl.
A prettier girl.
You fall in love with her.
You forget about me.

Saying that she's like me,
You know you can't do better than the original.
I forget about you.
You come crawling back into my life.
An unwanted leech stuck to my heart.

Maybe you don't know that I'm happy.
And it's not while you're around.
Maybe you get jealous.
Another guy has the one you really want.
Or maybe,
You just want to cause me pain.

Make me feel special,
Then take it all away.
Leaving me to make sense of it.
All alone,
Crying from all of the pain.
You leave once again.
I'm happy again.

So don't say you love me,
Then find that better girl.
Cause once you leave me.
I'm gone for good.
Never again will you have that girl,
The one who takes you back after everything.

Because she won't be that girl anymore.
Because you hurt her too many times.
Becase you told her that eight letter lie.
Because she knows better.
And she won't take your sh*t anymore.

Remember,
Years from now,
When you're with that chick,
The one that was like me,
That you lost the best girl you'll ever find.
