These Walls

by HidinVictim   Jan 5, 2010

Pain and insecurities
leak from the space
where the walls and bed fail to meet

A lust for characters unwanted
and a hate for those
way to cliche

Lost souls
and candy flavored lies
If these walls could speak
they'd tell you how she died.

Twisted love songs
with childrens' screams
and demon things

Bloody wrist
stain the sheets
and tear soaked lashes
matted with fear

If these walls could speak
they'd tell you why she lies.

Kisses sweet
and tickles tease
Promises untold
and lies unbroken

If only
these walls could speak
they'd tell you all her dreams

Fairytale guys
where demons are tamed
Protective arms
and trusting eyes

If these walls could speak
they'd tell you
all his lies.

All together i would say that i really liked it. when reading poetry you must read to the end of the line, and when reading your poem it still aided comprehension so you did great in that department. I thought the idea of which you used was a little cliche, but the way you wrote it was not cliche, so great job with that and i loved the flow. A well deserved 5/5

Fears lies desires passion lust dreams hate = nightmare = multiple personality disorder = inner conflict = , , unknown desire + unknown fear = schizophrenia

fake happiness + untrue peace = mania

close your thoughts , lock your fears , stare at the space and live your dreams

5/5 great work i loved it ^ was just a note

^^ definitely my favorite stanza. that was awesome.

^^ Great imagery! tear soaked lashes, what a great line!

This was definitely a dark sad poem which I don't read often, and to my surprise I really liked it! Keep up the great work!
