Apple

by Syrus   Jan 12, 2010

I've crossed over forbidden,
Letting my sins take over,
Wrapping myself in darkness,
Swimming in my vices, lustfully

I stole from the tree itself,
Openly, willingly, unregretfully,
Casually plucking at what I wanted,
And how sweet and pleasurable it was

But, even while feeding on my desires
There was something pure, idyllic.
Pressing my lips to this divine fruit
I fall into warm oblivion, heavenly.
