Reason Has No Place Here

by Syrus   Sep 5, 2010

It's always there, (It never left...)
Nagging incessantly in my mind,
Going through a thousand implications,
But never coming to single solution.
Am I worth the fight,
Or just drug along for the ride?
Constantly in cycles,
Living through past lives...

Reason doesn't work, (Not with you...)
An improbable probability,
And somehow that makes sense...(It shouldn't...)
But why does that matter?
How could it? It never has...

I've only been a heartbeat away
But theirs an ocean of lies between,
There are mountains of deceit,
Dark valley's filled with sorrow,
But this is the road back to me,
A journey I know you'll never make (I'm not worth it)

So reasons' found no purpose here,
He now sits alone,
Only left to wonder,
Time and time again...
And nothing changes...
