Counting Moments Soon To Pass

by Indian Comma Bean   Jan 13, 2010

River arms come round to reach me,
Sing so softly, spin words to reach thee,
Carry lyrics like boats along the water's stride
Moonlight teems upon my bedside,
While winds like sycophants

Cast my breath beneath the sea.

I find bubbles locked within the pane
Forming trees from crystalline tablets,
Fellow creatures in the sky point
My footsteps to a vast horizon,

Augmented by a smile I once remembered.

While moss hangs beneath my eyes
Sundials cast time upon my cheeks,
For certain I've been quite alive,
These tears of mine will soon revive
As the caverns in my heart slowly hollow,
I sense my love to surely follow -

Follow down the river's end.
