Nightless Day

by ntv650   Jan 13, 2010

Stark night, full moon and loneliness
Through my window the night bleeds.
I will sit upright in bed, in the dark
And think of winter, while I wait.

Lights off, warm room and tiredness
Beside the bed stands an empty glass
I will lie on my bed, lying naked
And think of death, while I wait.

Ugly day, colours and tenderness
Under the door a shadow moves
I will sit in the chair, in the twilight
And think of tomorrow, while I delay

Grey room, people and indifference
Above the desk a light glows
I will sit on the chair, in a sepia haze
And think of life, while I pretend

Outside, roads and helplessness
Amidst the town's hum
I will sit on this chair, in the smell
And think of friends, while I drink

Evening, television and abjectness
Between life and fantasy
I will lay on the sofa, in the light
And think of nothingness, while I fade.

Stark night, waning moon and loneliness
Through my window the night bleeds.
I will sit upright in bed, in the dark
And think of Everything, while I wait.
