The Prince

by Ryu   Jan 15, 2010

The weight of the world on his shoulders,
Knowing he had the power of a Prince,
Twirling their emotions around his finger,

The Prince, so young and naive,
A spitting image of his father,
Creating webs of empty promises,

But who has the last laugh,
With the kingdom crumbled beneath him,
As guilt rises to the tallest towers,

Now a King alone on his throne,
Surrounded by dark decaying walls,
He relives his life of shame,

------------------------------------------
Do not make the same mistakes I did.
Follow your heart,
You never know when they will be gone
from your life.
