More

Funny how a friend can ask for more,
There's a smile in his eye
And he opens the door
And he wants you in his arms to feel
Your hair in his face, head on his shoulder.

Boy I could have given you
The world
Yes the world and I little more,
If you'd not asked, not demanded...
More.

Boy we could have laughed and dreamed,
And drank and played,
And I'd have felt safe,
Even as my vision blurred
But you're the one who asked for more.

Here I am, I closed the door,
Don't think I don't notice,
How you don't look at me anymore.
Don't think I dont toss
And turn and mumble at night,
You're in my dreams tonight.

Funny how much we could laugh
When no one else got the joke,
And it was you I looked at,
To brighten my day.
Funny how cold it feels now,
But I'm not the one,
No, I'm not the one who asked
For more.
