Hypocritical Ignorance

by Miss Megan   Jan 31, 2010

Hidden from view with nothing to hide.
Is it such a crime to have a good time?

Shunned from society with no reason,
shading darkness over what was light.
There's nothing wrong with a nice, big bong rip,
if it helps me sleep in peace each night.

You pour the gin,
I wrap the blunt.
Is there really a difference in what we both want?
We all need a break at times,
a moment to sit back and relax.
A reason to forget our worries,
a reason to smile, to laugh.

Gather 'round the circle,
with the best of friends you have.
Share an inside joke,
and smoke another pack.

We'll cry from laughing so hard,
and forget why we did.
Then go on a random adventure,
and wonder where we live.

You drink a martini,
I smoke a blunt.
Is there really a difference in what we both want?
We all need a break at times,
a moment to sit back and relax.
A reason to forget out worries,
a reason to smile, to laugh.

What kind of medicine is illegal?
How can something so helpful be wrong?
When you can tell me the answer,
I'll admit you were right all along.

You say I'm stupid,
I say your blind.
What's so wrong with having a good time?

You down some shots,
I chief the blunt.
Is there really a difference in what we both want?

Hidden from view with nothing to hide;
You have your opinion, and I have mine.
