A wanderer

by Joe Eijyuu   Feb 4, 2010

In those spring days
In the garden of ruined castle afar
Every year I found the blooming roses
But there was not a single rose last year,
And I wondered if they would effloresce
Again in this June to solace a lone wanderer.

Yes, I became a wanderer since
When from I my only rose departed,
Filling this heart with unbearable emptiness
And even in warm springtime my tears glistened,
Do please come back my precious red rose
Or in the ruined castle I would rather be entombed.

A wanderer I am and I am lost
Till your pair of petals are on my lips,
A wanderer like a comet in farthest orbit
Who, to find your soul, wanders and wanders,
And when finally our two lost souls are met
Our bodies will rise amongst ever fragrant roses.
