Oh, Even when you have gone

by Joe Eijyuu   Jun 10, 2011

Oh, Even when you have gone
You are as precious now as you were,
One and only red rose you have always been
But now your blooming smiles are elsewhere,
Yet, your perfume seems to linger in my garden
Rendering my heart a woeful stir like a lonely star,
For this rose, await I shall for every new season
To come and pray I it effloresces nowhere but here.

Still desirous is my lips to caress and kiss
Those verdant leaves and crimson petals again,
Admittedly it could only be in my nightly dreams
Alas, toward me, indifference is your sway anon,
Nevertheless this rose this heart only ever wants
Thus till then, my tears silently cry and glisten,
Yes, my light of tears all the way to the stars
And in that starlight you see my deepest emotion.
