Run Away

by Soulful Ensemble   Feb 7, 2010

If I ask for your hand
And say its time to leave
Will you take it and squeeze?
Will you run away with me?

I'm in love with you
And that much you can tell
You say you want me, too
And you make me melt.

I'm waiting here,
For fate to untwist us
And bring us together
So that love isn't lost.

I think of that first year
When I fell in love with you
We were so young, dear
And our hearts were true.

The next year was better, even
And our love grew gigantic
We had something right then
As strong as the Titanic.

Every year that passes by
Helps to remind me,
Of the fact your love and mine
Will always grow free.

What a great, simple poem. It says just what it needs too. I like it.
