My dear

by Emily   Feb 8, 2010

And I wonder if you ever think of me.
Now that we don't talk.
Ever since I have walked away
From the water that day.

Ever since I heard you say,
"I still love HER."
Ever since my heart sank.
Well, I just want to thank
You for giving me your lips
For one last kiss.
For giving me your eyes for
One last goodbye.

And I'm sitting here in this parking lot
Where you would chase me
And I would keep running.
If only I knew, then, that you really loved me
Maybe I would realize that I loved you too.

Now I cry and feel blue
Thinking of what I cannot do.

I just wish we could talk
But I had my chance
And it was so hard to give you one glance
Without wanting to give up
And just crawl back into my little hole
Of cuts and scars
And bruises and blood
And pools of regret and thoughts of my lost love.
