Good Morning Sadness

by Second to None   Feb 15, 2010

Six a.m. I pull myself out of bed
Don't think I forgot what you said
It rings in my ears through the day
Start thinking about what you say

Words will forever echo in my brain
Things won't ever be the same
Words sting like a red hot scratch
Unlike a cut they cannot be patched

But they will leave me with a scar
This time you've gone way to far
Nine p.m. I still hear your voice
I hope next time you'll make a better choice
