The rain

by Tori Hicks   Feb 15, 2010

The rain falls down over the scene
And all I can do is watch.
The wonder of it all brings a smile to my lips
And I think of you.

The cold of the rain permeates my skin
And I can feel it soaking my soul.
My icy heart is slowly becoming uncovered
To welcome you in.

With my eyes closed, I breathe slowly
In and out, with long breaths.
The world around me begins to blend together
But I see you still.

The rush of it all is astounding,
But it's time to go inside.
Slowly and soberly
I reach the door.

I turn around for a moment
To see if it's all still real.
But the ghost of you is fading
Into the rain.

Kind like how it has some hautings behind it. Well written and vivid. Great job.
