The Protective Mason

by OHgreenman   Feb 23, 2010

Adhesive applied, then re-applied
Containing a crumbling wall
Exernal forces continue to collide
Attempting to make defenses fall

Past has taught me all too well
Protect the kingdoms treasure
Hidden in a dismal cell
Rests an antiquity of pleasure

No wooden trunk filled with gems
Or golden family crests
More valuable than both of them
Resides inside my chest

There's one that tests these walls
Seeking my buried possession
Wanting to share the sacred hall
Still there remains a question...

When will the mason rest?

Very heartfelt and beautifully penned... Hopefully one day soon the mason will rest and those walls will forever crumble and youll be able to share your heart and love again....
