The Unheard

Come one come all
Hear the tale
Of a strong willed girl
Destined to fail
Fragile and small
A soul so fair
Using the words
Honored everywhere
Gloom and pain
Filled the lines
no one believed
the hurt she could find
until one day
darker than she
her words halted
no longer set free
inconceivable it was
nothing had broken
ignored it she did
her secret unspoken
this gift of hers
tightly concealed
ripped from her
lay under iron shield
then came abrupt
the unexpected
hidden for long
gone undetected
a simple smile
lead to a word
wanted attention
from the unheard
hours seemed as circa
minutes as days
no longer did she
rely on unkempt rage
now all seems
to escape me
without the chance
to faze me
the girl is i
and I am she
the unheard is him
and he was the key
to unlock my words
light the fuse
returned have they
never to escape is my muse
