Stole Her

by Arthur   Mar 3, 2010

I lay here,
I feel confused.
I feel alone and deserted.

Some might say I deserve it,
and had it coming.
but nobody deserves such a hit

I began to traverse the dark road
where we first met
and that dark, rainy day.

she laid there,
unaware and a bloody mess.
her heart still beat,
but her soul, silent.

I picked her up,
she shivered in the cold
and seemed to enter reality.

the mystery i held
looked up at me and spoke...

she told a story of 3 men,
men of hate and revenge
men of deaths and suffering

I listened to her
as i took her to the city
to heal her wounds.

I took her,
under my own roof,
to guard the mystery girl.

for a decade,
i was her protector
and i learned to love her

it was after a decade,
when everything fell apart.
the 3 men returned.

they took my girl,
and left only her body.
stole her soul from her, and from me.
