Never The Same

by Cody B   Mar 16, 2010

*Something a little different. Not very good in my own opinion but it was easy to write.

It's just me and a pen
Under the skies grayish hue
Trying to forget the words
"Cody we are through"

It's just me and a pen
Under the skies silent night
With nothing more to do
Then sit alone and write

It's just me and a pen
Under the skies constant rain
Still i cannot forget
Will I always feel this pain?

It's just me and a pen
Under the skies bright sun
It just brings more memories
Of my long lost and only one

It's just me and a pen
Under the skies grayish hue
Wishing she'd hear the words
"I'm deeply missing you"

It's just me and a pen
Under a world never the same
I just hope one day soon
She'll remember my name

Very thoughtful. I like how you incorporated the same theme all the way through. Good job.

Your words bring to mind a writer sitting under a tree with pen in hand poised to write about the person they loved and that left them. Memories stirred by things they see and wishing the love that left would return to them. It is well written and I like the repetition of the same line for the beginning of each verse. Good job with this.
