Face To Face

by Tilly Louise   Mar 25, 2010

She's got the world, doesn't need any more
Full legnth designer dresses that drop to the floor
Hair sprayed up, make-up glowing
Time to impress, some serious woahing
Heels put her head in the clouds
But there's one face standing out in the crowd
She recognizes it, she's seen him before
Maybe he's the one who opened the car door?
She smiles back, then is rushed by
But is thinking about that one guy
He's stuck in her head and wont surpass
He stood out in the crowd amongst the mass

She stands back to realise who he is
Make up artist in the way, paparazi in a tis
Screaming after her they won't understand
She's just kicked off her heels, now shes not so grand
Anyway to get her close
To that guy she wants the most

The guy who put her head up high
The one who taught her to touch the sky
The one who loves every freckle and inch of skin
He's the one whos been there through thick and thin
Complements her on her roughest day
Who always knows just what to say
He's held her hand through so much trouble
And has never once tried to burst her bubble
The guy she's known for a year and a bit
The guy who if she doesn't get to, will through a fit

She runs and jumps up into his arms
The look on his face shows some alarms
Too long has gone by, not meeting this guy
Finally the day has come to lie
Up in his arms and give it a final try.
