Epiphany

by Dan Bloom   Mar 31, 2010

Today, I head a siren.
I kept walking as it hurriedly passed by.
It was an ambulance.

I never noticed what was happening.
I may have seen and heard hundreds
Of rushing ambulances in my lifetime.

Now I feel the weight of them all.
People call ambulances when
Someone is dying.
