Verses of the Guardian

by Imperfect Perfections   Apr 8, 2010

Lay back, my love, and rest your head,
as I sing you my song of peace.
A lullaby, to ease your mind
and cause your sorrow to cease.

Let go, my sweet, and forget the day,
releasing thoughts seeming abstruse.
You're safe in my arms, away from the pain,
protected by my berceuse.

Surrender, my dear, to a weary mind,
and relinquish your worries to me.
May my voice be your guide to find the strength
mislaid in your reverie.

Lay back, my love, and rest your head,
as I sing you my song of peace.
A lullaby, to ease your mind
and cause your sorrow to cease.
