Tempermental Reactions

by Imperfect Perfections   Dec 8, 2009

Plastered to the pages,
all these crazy places, pretty faces
echoed in the walls,
all these empty spaces, all replaced with
retaliation of recollection

seeing it, hating it, breathing it, living it.

scarred into the minds
of these worn out dreamers, hasty schemers
burned into the eyes
of the nonbelievers, so misdemeanor
'cept to the doe-eyed of society

hearing it, loving it, feeling it, fearing it.

all's well that ends well, forget the journey there.
here came a chance we couldn't miss
well, beautiful,
it never had to come to this.
shut your eyes, run away, and never look back.
if perfection is ignorant bliss,
tell me, beautiful,
how did we get to this?

see it, hear it, breath it, feel it.
hate it, love it, live it, fear it.

plastered to these pages,
all the pretty places, crazy faces.
so, tell me, beautiful,
how did we get to this?
burned into the minds
of the worn out dreamers, these nonbelievers
well, beautiful,
it never had to come to this.

I wasn't keen on the repeating "it" but other than that I thought you did a really nice job with this piece and I like the musical note it hits.

    Nice work.
