Hidden

Sadness dripping from my soul,
Pouring from my eyes,
I'm drowning here in everything,
Our hearts could not disguise.

Words that turned to fists,
Wind knocked from my sails,
Alone, I sit here wondering,
What happiness entails.

To sit here with a mask on,
Pretend it's all okay,
A smile painted on my face,
While life just falls away.

It just don't feel like living,
To lock it all inside,
Pretending time will come to fix,
The hurt we try to hide.
