Love that just cant be

Someone tell me why I love you so much than words could ever describe
And to get you to feel the same way would only be a bribe
I've tried so hard in the past to get you I cant give anymore
Even though all I want is for me to be the one yo adore
I've loved you for so many years and it still gets me no where
and it seems the way I feel about you that you will never be aware
I know I wasnt the best person to be around at all times
And have caused problems and sometimes crimes
But theres something about you that I cant just get you off my mind
Maybe me not understanding your choice I've been completly blind
Your the one person who gives me hope and happiness
But being without you only gives me unhappiness
I just want to be great friends and maybe one day be together
And if we cant then my forecast is only bad weather
I love you as a friend and with all my heart
Thats why I hope one day we can get a fresh start
If not I'll always be your friend no matter what
Even if that means I'll have to keep my mouth shut
