An Angel's Love (Retourne)

My angel, my forever guardian,
Safely cradled in your arms,
Seems those arms are slipping away,
But your memory will always stay.

Safely cradled in your arms,
And yet allowed to run free,
Grown and aged through your eyes,
I will love you today, my angel, while Heaven cries.

Seems those arms are slipping away,
Though we all ache to pull you back,
My angel, you have given so much life,
And loved us through the toils and strife.

But your memory will always stay,
My angel, you have been my forever friend,
I will always hold you living in my heart,
And for that, Nan, we will never be apart.

For my Nan, the strongest woman I know, and still fighting.
