The Very Edge of the World

by Wishmaster   May 25, 2010

At the end of time
At the end of existence
There is peace at long last
The Hell known as lifetime
Release from decadence
Breaking free from the past

Many do not cross
The Very Edge of the World
Afraid to leave all they know
The fear of loss
Holding on to world so cold
Not wishing for a Heavenly Meadow

Save yourself
That's all one can do
Look down on me if you may
Save yourself
Because no one will save you
They will let you die away

I would make maybe one change and I'd switch the word "die" in the last line to maybe "fade" or something else that sounds better. I thought this was good and the hidden message was very true. People walk away from their dreams afraid they may fail and often times worse yet afraid they may succeed. Excellent job 5/5
