Class of 2010

Class of 2010
By Ashley J. White

We came to East our freshman year
Unsure of what we'd find,
But soon we let go of our fears
And left them far behind.

Then, we became sophomores
And began to make our way;
Laying the foundation for
Who we'd become someday.

As juniors, we were almost through;
We had one foot out the door.
We were moving toward our freedom,
But still we wanted more.

And then we were the senior class
Looking back at how we've grown,
But our time of glory has passed away;
Our shining moment has shone.

Nostalgia now fills us
With memories so bittersweet;
With all the good times we've had,
And the people we've gotten to meet.

And today we graduate together,
Knowing that we are not alone,
And we'll miss our friends and family
As we leave this place; our home.

We begin our life-long journeys,
With courageous hope deep within,
For, we are no ordinary students:
We're the Class of 2010.
