Its time now

On the news today another catastrophe
In the paper, another story of war
in the street today, another homeless asking for money
In the shop today, another advocator crying out for them

Yet we wander by and maybe be moved for a minute
then forget and are induced into our comsumer coma.

its been happening long enough now

Why do they suffer?
Why do they scream?
Why do they cry and cry
and no one seems to hear?

Or maybe we should be asking
Why do we choose to ignore?
why do we choose to ignore their pain
their suffering
there pain?
This is enough.

Now its time for a change.
time to be His hands and feet
Time to step out and get our hands dirty

time to step down so they can step up
time to sacrifice so they can have
time to give in so they dont have to give up...
