Times Ticking

I don't know how to say this, but i'll give it a try

I have something i've wanted to say, but never did and don't know why.

You make me feel so nervous, and yet so very calm

you put a smile on my face and the sweat in my palms.

My heart beats faster and my mind begins to race

This is what happens whenever i see your face.

Yet it drives me crazy to watch and not say

Whats trully on my mind, and let you get away.

Because i don't want to sit here and always wonder why

Why i sat there and said nothing, except for saying good bye.

as you travel off, never to return

going to college, so that you may grow and learn

I just want you to know, no matter what you say

that we'll always be friends at the end of the day

but i really like you, and would love one more chance

my question is do i deserve one, can i have one last dance.
