Gave up

Theres this one girl, that won't give me another chance

ever since I messed up on the first, she won't even give me a glance

I mean this time its different, cause i never thought she would leave

but thats how life is, I guess i just don't want to believe

believe that she's through, and just don't want no more

she held my heart in the palm of her hand, and dropped it to the floor

I hope everyday, and everytime she walks by

that maybe she'll look up, give a smile and say "hi"

but the chances of that are just slim to none

I still can't believe that she has given up, and is done

I don't know what she did or how she managed to catch my eye

but since the first time we dated, i never wanted to say goodbye

she gave me a feeling, a feeling of great joy

but i treated her like an object, or as if she were my toy

shes that one girl, that you never want to pass by

and when she wants to leave all you can ask is why?

but maybe if I'm patient, and just let it all cool down

maybe the love we lost, could be found

but i'll end with this, with one thing to say
I'll wait for you.........every single day
