Scent of Death

by neo   Jun 16, 2010

So much time has passed
Forgive?
I lie when I say possibly.
Forget?
NEVER. I will travel many reams and carry this forever.
I felt you near
Clean clothing felt worn and torn.
Fresh hair turned lifeless and oily.
Every pore was clogged with sick.
A few steps into my home and the stench was now a horrible flavor.
Stained skin and teeth. Sallow skin.
And then it was more than shown. It was known.
Every part.
Every piece.
All of you.
Your insides.
Your organs.
Your blood.
Your soul.
You are rotting from the insides.
Death is in you.
You reek of it.
Then as I am told to do, I rise above.
Looking down
Sick yellow teeth covered by a flighty frown
That is what I see
Reflective eyes only see the soul
Twists and turns in a fluffy gown
I smell your soul
Death is in you
Now he shall take his toll.
