Lights Out

by Lifeless juggalette   Jun 16, 2010

Lights out

Screams were heard at night
She always had a fright
She would light the lantern
As beautiful light fills the room
She had nightmares
Ones that left her screaming
Ones that seemed so real

She sits there and cry's
Wishing her life was better
Wishing she had beautiful dreams with butterflies
And singing birds
But when she turns the light out
And lays there falling asleep
All she wished for became a nightmare

Butterflies flying around on fire
With birds screaming for help
The lights dimming out
She doesn't know what to do
She cant wake up
She runs and screams
She can't get out

The sky becomes darker
Lights are almost out
running down a bloody path
Seemed like her nightmare came true
It all felt so weird
She felt all the pain
It felt so real..

She stops
With tears flowing down her face
she looks at the sky and knows its to late
she looks back down and closes her eyes
she makes one more wish
The wish to die

the little light left in the sky
Is all she sees
She stands still
when she hears a voice,
whispering
"lights out"
And her last scream was heard
silents took over
as the sky became black
Her last wish came true

But what people don't know
She died in her sleep
her dream scared her so much
it ended right there

three years latter
Another girl is frighten
from the screams she hears
she lights the lantern
and whispers
"who's there?"
silents took over and the lantern went dead
all you could hear in the wind
was a small girls voice
with a snicker
and a laugh
she whispers
"lights out"
