Magical Moment

by Hopeless Romantic   Jun 20, 2010

Anxiety seizes my lungs, conrols my heart.
It grips my very soul, and rips me apart.

Fear holds me still, freezes me to the ground.
It roots me in this spot, weighing me down.

Worry contorts my face, shadows my grin.
Upends my smile, as you move in.

Then, we kiss...

Warmth rises inside me, frees my soul.
It lets me breathe, It makes me whole.

Happiness frees my body, breaks the chains.
It floods through me, like a torrential rain.

Hope lets me smile, it makes right anything amiss.
I feel it overflowing, as we share our first kiss.

Why this hasn't been commented on before know I will never know but it's beautiful.

Love how you write about all the emotions of how you felt when it happened as it most likely relatable for many.
