Time of Man

by Timothy   Jun 26, 2010

Whirlwind, do you know my name?
I'm the Emancipator, here to lay claim;
You have decimated this land for too long,
I come...to right what you have wronged.

You are powerful, but a creature of the dirt,
I am celestial, and about to show you your worth;
The first blow deflected, god against conjured,
A flesh wound, but the beast endures.

A man created this thing, but a Titan created me,
The power from the stars, a tidal wave of crushing sea;
A lash, a strike, a gash upon my face,
One hundred blows, and I fall to one knee.

I strike again, enough power to fell a country,
But the monster reforms without injury;
As I am pummeled again and again,
I feel times are changing, it's The Time of Man!
