You Lied

You said Forever, You Lied.

You said Trust, You Lied.

You said Together, You Lied.

You said Love, You Lied.

But I Say,

You want Forever? Never.

You want Trust? Forget it.

You want Together? Whatever.

You want Love? You had It. You Lost It.

    It seemed more like a quote to me than a poem...I mean, I understand what you were trying to get across...I think it just didn't sit well with me. 3/5

    I really like the structure you've chosen for this one. It helps the reader to really understand the meaning of the poem and the way you repeated "you lied" really lingers with the reader.

    Good piece of poetry this!
