Whole New Light.

by Hologram   Jul 4, 2010

There is something clean in the way of the dawn,
And an air that makes it easier to breathe.
The smile that is now drawn across my lips,
I cannot help but begin to believe.

There is a race against my mind,
It's simple and it's plain.
My smile, it sticks and stays like glue,
Why would I complain?

I have not felt like this in a while,
The sense that everything is getting better.
The smile that glows, it is so sure,
That is does not matter if the ground gets wetter.

Even walking through the rain,
There's a laugh that sounds so sweet, so strange.
That smile, it stays and I feel safe,
There is no point trying to rearrange.

I see life in a whole new light,
After a lifetime of hurt and pain.
I'm ready for this new change,
I'm ready to show my smile again.
