Twisted Lies.

by Alaska907   Jul 14, 2010

Words like twisted twine, they weave together.
Spinning on endlessly, threading tightly forever.
Creating this formation as it winds wherever.
Overflowing each line as they strand this endeavor.

Quietly placed upon this piece of stationery they lie.
Graphite lead slinking curvaciously with each letter as if shy.
Blending each loop, crossing each "T", finishing as to dot each "I".
With each twist of the wrist telling the truth, but hiding a lie.

Cleverly concealing each contorted falsification.
Sitting back as to dictate the single lines with satisfaction.
Brain waves pulsating as syllables fully flow amongst consideration.
Cunningly grinning to this insidious presentation.

Hands and fingers can't help but feel cramped.
Tightly being held against this utensil like its stamped.
Compressing the English alphabet letters together so neatly.
Creating each word to a lie that's hidden discreetly.

She witnesses him choreograph each paragraph in the dim light.
Holding her shortened breaths, trying to stay out of sight.
For if he saw, he would only deny.
Deny each lie that he scribes upon the tablet tonight.

As she deciphers the paper she can't help but fall weak.
Silencing the liquid that drips from the corners of her cheek.
Knowing that as he glides his simple lead across each line, its not what she seeks.
Not what she wants to find.

Quietly she disappears out of sight.
Sliding each drawer that's taught with nothing but fight.
Packing a bag as she leaves for the flight.
Knowing no longer, that the man who promised her everything will never be in sight.
