Quiet Places

by Cainer   Aug 5, 2010

I enjoy quiet places
They bring to me that which
Is no longer capable of being
In the world that surrounds me

The quiet places bring me peace
Bring to me a sense of calm
That neither the world outside
Nor the fantasy inside can sustain

The quiet places bring me silence
Something that without this place
Can no longer be enjoyed
No longer be held close

Its in the quiet places that i find myself
Read further into my sanity then any other
Obtain more meaning in the things
Then any other can ever understand

The quiet places keep me sane
They protect me from what i suffer from
My own self doubt and many other things
Including my own reason to live

But in the end the most important reason
In enjoying the quiet places
Is just to sit back and reflect on that which
Ales you during the day, that which worries you

And give time to the healing process
Make sure that now and again you start anew
In the end the quiet places save just who you are
By making life easier to live
