Heart of an Emo Girl

by Ashley   Aug 20, 2010

In a room full of people and I am suddenly the outcast.
Everyone stares and laughs as if I'm performing a comedy skit.
So lost in their thoughts, not considering another human's feelings.
My face flushes,
my ears burn,
I suddenly get dizzy,
suddenly being the joke is horrible.
I wanted to leave,
get up and leave.
No one understood.
so vulnerable,
so hurt.
Broken, bruised, and scarred.
Not a clue what the emo child does,
or who she is.
Not a clue...
What a shame they all laugh,
even though I have a point,
to all this insanity.
Lies live within my soul,
pick one and I'm done.
so tomorrow I will pick one and be done.
will I be scolded...
praised...
maybe made fun of again.
How do you feel,
knowing you broke the heart of an emo girl?
