Your poem is very well written, but it seems like an exert. Your poem feels as if it belonged in the middle of a story. You talk about a rememberance, but then you add that the love is still there. This left me yearning to know what had happened to make the people in your poem fell like that. I give you props on the insert of your quote, and the cliff hanger added a mystery to your poem that the reader must figure out for themselves.
Overall I really liked your poem and I wish you luck in the contest.
