THE BAMBOO

by Brix Ambray   Sep 3, 2010

He sway his body left and right
He follows the direction of the wind
Forward and backward he slowly bend
Reaching the far-way sky's end.

He is strong, stronger than the trees,
Though he belongs to grass family
The first sight of him you'll never think he is strong,
But he will prove to you that you are wrong.

He stands so gay and proud,
Even at times when a strong wind had passed,
He can manage a very hot day,
He rejoices if the weather is rainy.

I wish to be as strong as a bamboo
I will follow and sways in life's test,
I will be brave in facing life and destiny,
I will cherish each moment God had given me.
