Pretend

by Enya   Sep 13, 2010

I'm not okay with being me,
You're not okay with being you.
So let's pretend we're different people,
Who choose to spend their time together.

We'll sit and talk about the weather,
Then fall asleep beside eachother.
(She'd always know how much I love her,
She'd always know I care.)

We'll smile several times a day,
Unprovoked and unrestrained.
We'll dance the dance of life with grace,
We'll laugh aloud to hide the pain.

We'll live our lives and we'll have fun,
We won't regret the things we've done.
We won't regret the things we've thought,
We won't regret the things we've said.

You'll hold my hand because you want to,
You'll hold my hand when we're falling alseep.
I'll close my eyes and forget to remember,
That all I see is make-believe,
That we were only playing pretend.
