Catalyst

by Enya   Dec 11, 2010

I am the catalyst, the cause and effect,
I am the life of those wishing for death.
I am the truth which you turn into lies,
I am the ocean and you are the sky.

I am the love which you deny yourself,
I am the friend when you have nothing else.
I am the melody you hear in your sleep,
I am the blood that ensures your heart beat.

I am the struggle which preludes solution,
I am the keeper of peace in your nation.
I am the seasons, which are ever changing,
I am the constant, I am similarity.

I am the answer to which exists no question,
I am the unknown, an unseen dimension.
I am the daylight, igniting all space,
I am the darkest darkness, incurable plague.

I am the house and I am the home,
I am the shelter, refuge from the storm.
I am the beginning, the argument, the conclusion.
I am reality and you are illusion.

I love it, only this piece seems a little odd to me:
I am the constant, I am similarity.
It doesn't feel right there, somehow it doesn't fit in the duality of the poem

    Everything else is perfection
