Silence (Prose)

by Dan Bloom   Sep 21, 2010

10:00a.m.- Napoli Square at Moon St. I'm surrounded by an appendix of war. My blood-curdling veins are getting too much attention. The eloquent one is on to something.

"Have you finished the job?"

Silence.

11:00a.m.-

9:00a.m.- Regret. "Maybe a compromise? Ten a.m., ten a.m., ten a.m., ten a.m. ..."

3:00a.m.- A paper that reads, "Margaret, I love you. You are and always will be everything. Look after the kids."
