74. You Promised Me . . .

by Toni Lawrence   Sep 29, 2010

You came into my life and sweep me off of my feet like in my dreams.
Oh how you promise me so much it just felt so real to me it seamed.
Under your curse is what I fell into as lives reality fell into a dream.

Paralyzed you left me after you finally destroyed what was still there.
Running away from your problems is what you just know how to do.
Oh how I wish I never laid my eyes on you that summer day we met.
Memories of our time together are distorted from the lies you told me.
I cry still but not because I love you but because I know I am damaged.
See for the next guy I met he will have trouble from now on to even get close.
Enchanted I once could be by a man but not anymore can I be enchanted by a demon.
Demon souls come out to play when they deceive you with their cheating, heart breaking, lies

Marry me? You said, You promise me that I was your one and only in life.
Eventually I found out the hard way that your promises would never come true.
