So long to you

by Jackie Martinez   Oct 13, 2010

Our meeting created fireworks,
Together I felt unstoppable,
I felt invincible and untouchable,
I always thought you felt the same way,
I thought you enjoyed our laughs,
The good times I thought were good to both,
Only to find out my thought of true friend,
Didn't look at me with the same stars,
Didn't enjoy the same times I did.
Only to find out that time was no longer wanted with me,
Words feel strained because the wound is still fresh,
I thought I had a friend who enjoyed me,
Who loved me for who I am and who I would become,
But who I am was not right for her.
Although I know my life will go on,
My heart is still ripping in half.
It hurts and at one time I thought she cared,
But I was wrong.
