Waves

The news hits me,
Like ocean waves crashing into the shore.

.....crashing into me......

The water splashes my face,
And the salt burns my eyes.

Or are those tears?

And I panic

I scream out to no one,
My anger, my hate, my regret!

The Ocean's waves echo it back,
And I realize this is one thing I can't take back.

Then the tide recedes,
The Waves no longer crashing into me.

And for a while I forget,
(until the next tide comes in).
