Victim

by Aubrey   Oct 28, 2010

Parched dry from the blood you have squeezed from my veins. And still you expect me to live for you.

The claws of your eyes match the scars on my heart.
And I am reminded once again what you can do to me.

And what you have done before.

I cry out for a release from your grip,
your knowing mind but you smother me.

Like so many times before, I fall victim to your easy gaze and I die once again.
